Tijekom ljetnih praznika organizirali smo četverodnevnu radionicu dokumentarnog filma pod mentorstvom višestruko nagrađivanoga filmskog redatelja Đure Gavrana, uz asistiranje studentice montaže Lucije Strugar.

Radionica je na kreativan i kvalitetan način, uz gledanje i analiziranje kratkih dokumentarnih filmova različitih vrsta te praktičan rad na filmu, upoznala djecu s poslovima u filmskoj ekipi te s filmom kao skupnom umjetničkom djelatnošću. Učilo se o procesu snimanja dokumentarca koji se bavi vrlo aktualnom temom – vršnjačkim nasiljem. U ovoj posebno zanimljivoj radionici, čija se tema tiče upravo njih samih, djeca su iskusila kako se film razvija od ideje do premijere, kroz sve faze nastanka filma. Sudionici su se upoznali s time kako pristupiti priči, s izborom priče, s motivacijom i istraživanjem. Snimalo se na različitim lokacijama što su ih izabrala sama djeca te se na kraju montiralo u skladu s njihovim željama. Film nosi naslov: Ne želim pričati o tome.

For this summer break, we organized a four-day documentary film workshop with award-winning film director Đuro Gavran as the mentor and editing student Lucija Strugar as his assistant.

The creative mentor duo skilfully guided children in their watching and analysing of documentary shorts of all kinds, familiarized them with different responsibilities and jobs in the film crew specifically and introduced them to the world of cinema as a collaborative artistic practice in general. They learned how to make a documentary, focused on a very contemporary and relevant topic that concerns them all – peer violence. The workshop was an opportunity to see how the film gets made, following all filmmaking stages, and how the idea leads to the premiere. The children who took part learned how to approach the story by making decisions about it, working on motivation and doing research. They decided where they wanted to film and guided the editing. The film is titled: I Don’t Want to Talk About It.
